Android Apps That Help You Stay in Shape

Staying in shape has become extremely necessary in this world of today. The main reason for this is of course because while the foods have become fattier, people have become less accustomed to moving around to burn their calories. However, staying in shape was also never so easy because now you have multiple tools to help you out such as your very own Android enabled smart phone. Of course, this concept of using you cell phone as a buddy when you are on the job isn’t new and has been around for a long time. Nevertheless, nowadays these smartphones don’t just provide you music but will also be able to help you other things such as your calorie intake, the diet you should be taking and the body fat that you are burning.

Now while many of these lifestyle, exercise or diet apps are free, some of them do offer their expertise with a little price tag on it. If you are someone who is looking to loose or wait or simply an individual who wants to stay in shape by maintaining your current weight, then a couple of these apps together will help you go along way. The plus point about these free apps especially is that you can always uninstall them if you do not like their function. Now then, without any further delay, let me tell you a bit about some of the top Android apps that i have found on staying in shape.

Noom Weight loss

By far one of the most complete weight loss or maintenance apps that I have experienced myself is the Noom weight loss program. When you initially install this app, it will ask you for your current weight and the weight that you would like to achieve in a specific time that is also set by you. It will also give you the option of maintaining or gaining your current weight. Along with this, it will help you to track the foods that you are having for lunch, dinner, breakfast and even snacks. Also, it logs in your exercise and gives you an estimate of how many calories you have burned. This app is available for free on Android.

Nike Training club

Another popular one to hit the Google Play market is the app called Nike training club which is available for free for all Android users. This particular app is ideal for you if you want to be personally trained but either don’t have the time or the means of going to a physical one. With this app comes your very own personal instructor that will help you with your exercise day and night. They have dozens of free workouts that are taught by different people such as pro athletes etc. Each trainer has their own area of speciality and you can choose anyone you like.

Fooducate Nutrition Scanner

A rather peculiar and interesting app that I accidently stumbled upon on the Android platform is the Fooducate Nutrition Scanner. Now you may have guessed at least a little by the title that this app has something to do with food education and nutrition, well let me tell you that you are absolutely right. This app has a little bit of a twist in it as it tells you what’s behind the ingredients that are written on the wrapper.
