‘Resident Evil’ Switch Ports Dated

Capcom recently announced the upcoming release of three Resident Evil ports for the Nintendo Switch, namely the Resident Evil remake, Resident Evil 0, and Resident Evil 4.  The three games will all be available on the Nintendo Switch eShop as digital game downloads.

All three games were originally released on the Nintendo GameCube, more than two decades ago. They have since been ported to multiple platforms, such as PlayStations and Nintendo game consoles. Resident Evil 4, in fact, has been released on a variety of platforms such as PlayStation 2, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Windows PC, and iOS.

All three games will be available on May 21st, 2019. The prices for the games haven’t been revealed, but since players can begin preordering the games starting tomorrow, February 28th, we’ll know soon enough. Capcom has also said it that it also plans to release a physical version that contains both the Resident Evil HD remaster and Resident Evil 0 as part of a package that will be named the “Resident Evil Origins Collection”.

The Switch versions for all three Resident Evil games was first teased by Capcom in October of last year.
