Parents are Sending Their Kids to Rehab for ‘Fortnite’ Addiction

‘Fortnite’ is the gaming craze that is sweeping across the world, and many of its players are kids. Unfortunately, some of these kids like ‘Fortnite’ a bit too much.

Gaming addiction is nothing new in 2018, nor is it something tied to just one video game or video game genre. But ‘Fortnite’ is the most popular game out there out the moment, and kids are spending far too much time on it.

Some parents have come out and admitted that their kids spend as much as 12 hours a day playing ‘Fortnite.’ Once you take into account the time these kids spend in school, you’ll realize that these kids are barely giving themselves time to do anything else that they want or need to do, such as homework and sleeping. It has gotten so bad, that some parents feel forced to send their kids to rehab to curb their addictions to the game.

Many kids are less active socially and doing poorly in school because their ‘Fortnite’ addictions. There are already worries about the younger generation being too obsessed and attached to technology, and this isn’t making concerns any less loud. Ninja, who is the face of ‘Fortnite,’ had something to say on the issue, and his take is that it is the parents fault.

Ninja makes more than a fair point. After all, a kid can’t stay in his/her room and play ‘Fortnite’ for 12 hours straight. It is the parents’ job step in and set limitations. A discussion about moderation is likely something that the parents of these kids need to have with their children. All good things can be bad if you don’t limit yourself.
