New ‘Resident Evil 2’ Trailer Shows Off the Terrifying Mr. X

If you thought Mr. X was terrifying in the original ‘Resident Evil 2,’ then just wait until you get your hands on the HD Remake. A new gameplay video was released on the official PlayStation YouTube channel, showing off some Claire Redfield gameplay. Making his first appearance in the video is the one and only T-OO, Mr. X.

The original Resident Evil 2 remains to this day a classic of the series, genre, and video games in general, and is a game still well worth playing. However, there is no denying that in some instances, graphical and technical updates can really up the immersion and atmosphere of a video game. And the ‘Resident Evil 2’ remake is a perfect example of this.

Mr. X was a scary and formidable foe in the original ‘Resident Evil 2,’ but in the remake, he is absolutely horrifying. When Mr. X is right behind you and shoving zombie fodder out of his way, the music picks up the pace. Even when he’s not in the immediate area, when you hear the faint but unstoppable footsteps of the titanic man-beast, one thing is for certain: you need to get away fast.

The ‘Resident Evil’ remake received high praise, and for good reason. The remakes are a return to form for the series, and from the looks of it, the ‘Resident Evil 2’ remake will be one to look forward to indeed.

‘Resident Evil 2’ will be released on January 25th, 2019. Consider it a month late Christmas gift. Whatever you do, be sure not to miss out of this surefire hit.
