‘Mortal Kombat X’ added to Xbox Game Pass

If you have somehow been a gamer for all these years and never laid your hands on a ‘Mortal Kombat’ game, now is as good a time as any to try out the legendary fighting game franchise.

‘Mortal Kombat’ fans got quite the treat this weekend, in the form of an announcement trailer for ‘Mortal Kombat 11’.

The ‘Mortal Kombat 11’ Community Reveal Event will be happening on January 17th, 2019 and ‘Mortal Kombat 11’ will be released on April 23rd, 2019. Never played ‘Mortal Kombat’ before and are unsure if the series is for you? Do you have an Xbox One and Xbox Game Pass? Then you’re in luck.

‘Mortal Kombat X,’ the previous entry in the series, is now one of 200+ games available on the Xbox Game Pass, which is essentially Xbox’s version of Netflix. Play it, and if you like it, then consider picking up a copy of the actual game. And if ‘Mortal Kombat’ isn’t your cup of tea, then no harm no foul.

There will be significant differences in gameplay between MKX and MK 11, but not so much that playing MKX won’t give you a feel for the game, and build a solid foundation to prepare yourself for ‘Mortal Kombat 11.’ Fighting games like this are all about muscle memory and memorizing combos. Better to get used to it now than in April.
