Nursing is a very demanding profession. It’s less about outright healing a patient and more about checking them, studying them, and making sure they stay in the best condition they can manage. It’s a non-stop job full of all sorts of minute tasks, and it can be a little overwhelming. Diligent Robotics have invented a little friend to make life easier for the world’s nurses.
Meet Moxi, the medical helper nurse-bot. Moxi has one major directive: to help keep a hospital’s staff calm. To this end, Moxi possesses a rudimentary AI that compels it to assist however it can, as well as a digital face with cute expressions. Moxi’s job is to cover some of the miscellaneous tasks that a nurse normally would, such as retrieving charts and equipment and making reports.
Ideally, with less tasks weighing them down, nurses will be less exhausted and more able to focus on their patients. Moxi just began its first trial run in several Texas hospitals, where it will remain for several months. Diligent hopes that Moxi can become a trusted member of any medical team.
