Samsung still hasn’t run out of surprises for this year’s Consumer Electronics Show, it seems.
The tech giant has revealed their newest television set, fondly and aptly called “The Wall.” Thought your 70″ was big enough, eh? Apparently, Samsung thinks otherwise. And if you’ve never seen a TV that’s the size of three grown men, then you’re in for a huge surprise.
The Wall, a MicroLED television, measures a total of 219 inches or 18 feet. Want to know what’s more amazing than this? According to Samsung, this goliath of a TV apparently creates a brighter image while using less energy than current and standard televisions, despite its humongous size.
While this seems like a great gimmick and all, we have to admit that a 219″ screen isn’t very practical. After all, to be able to use this screen comfortably, you need room space that can give you a distance of at least 1.5 to 2.5 times your screen size.
If you prefer a smaller version, Samsung has also unveiled its smaller sibling, a 75″ MicroLED TV. Obviously, this is not small at all, but it does seem rather tiny compared to the 219″ behemoth.
As of this writing, no additional details yet regarding the actual launch have been revealed.
