Honda Shows Off Future ‘Dream Drive’ Feature

Honda has found a way to show targeted ads to its consumers, amidst plenty of other innovations and additions, through its new feature, the ‘Dream Drive’. The Japanese car company debuted what is known to the automotive industry as the “first integrated driver and passenger infotainment, commerce, services and rewards dashboards within the vehicle environment.”

The so-called ‘Honda Dream Drive’ was first shown back in CES 2017 as a mere concept, and now it has evolved into a functional touch and voice-based prototype meant to give both drivers and passengers a wide range of services and entertainment options.

There are two main types of services and experiences offered by the mobile-based dashboard. The first one is the Honda Dream Drive: Driver, which includes options for the driver to pay for goods and services, or share the driver’s location with family and friends. The second one is the Honda Dream Drive: Passenger, which allows passengers to play games, watch movies, use travel apps, listen to songs, explore interesting points along the route, and control the radio using their mobile phone. Passengers will also be able to use plenty of other convenience options thanks to Honda’s different collaborators.

Interested customers were able to personally view demos of the Honda Dream Drive in their 2019 model of the Honda Passport that was present in their CES 2019 booth.
