If you are the person that can never remember passwords, help is on the way. Google is moving away from passwords and towards facial recognition technology. The most recent version of the Chrome browser will soon allow people to log into accounts with finger prints or facial recognition therefore, forever eliminating the “forgot password” button.
While this new technology is interesting and we are excited to not have to remember passwords, people are a little freaked out.Some parts of the technology is considered to be invasive. Apple miscalculated how people felt about the facial recognition feature on the iPhone X. The iPhone X is not selling as Apple predicted and may be taken off the shelves.
Consumers definitely have love hate relationships with existent or up and coming facial recognition technology. While people are excited about the extinction of passwords, they are not so thrilled with the invasive-ness.
