Audi has unveiled its latest looker: a fully autonomous, all electric concept car named AI:ME. It’s the most high-tech car that Audi has ever conceptualized before, and yet its design is said to have been inspired by the au naturel environment.
The company has yet to reveal exact details about the AI:ME, but judging from what we’ve seen so far, this car is certainly one of its kind. True to its name, it has plenty of space for artificial intelligence.
There are plenty of smart integrations in its system that make this self-driving car one of the best in its segment. One example is its ability to accurately interpret signals from other vehicles, smart or non-smart, and use its own LED lights as a mode of communication between the itself and other cars or people. This means that the ‘driver’ can spend more time working or relaxing in the car instead of having to focus on the road ahead.
And of course, it’s not marketed as nature-inspired for nothing. Its roof has an open pergola design where owners can take care of plants and let them live freely on the roof, giving off a kind of pro-environment vibe.
Despite the seemingly wide-open roof and windows, however, the car is completely sealed against all outside disturbances, thanks to its traffic proof interior. Audi says that this guards anyone inside from any “distracting external noise.”
