Apple May Release 3 New iPhones This Year

Once again, Apple is expected to launch not just one, but three phones this coming Fall for its annual iPhone release.

According to a report by Business Insider, the tech behemoth is gearing up for another upcoming triple iPhone release, which started in 2017 with the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X released in the same year. In 2018, Apple also released three models, the iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max. This year is expected to be no different.

One of the possible upgrades from the previous iPhone models that could be included in this launch would be the triple camera system, which was already seen in recent models from Samsung and Huawei. Bloomberg notes that this system may eventually be seen in all the upcoming iPhone releases and not just on the most high-end models.

Another possible feature of the upcoming iPhones would be an OLED screen for all models, as forecasted by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of TF International Securities. Most of the less expensive models of iPhones make use of LCD screens, but the upcoming releases may instead just feature the higher quality panels.

Other possible features include the ability to be used as a charging pad similar to the Samsung Galaxy S10, a frosted glass design with a notch in front, a possible switch to USB-C which we already covered before, faster processors, and a better Face ID camera, among others.
